Why choose to study at Colchester?
Colchester has a lot to offer international students - it's fun, safe, historic, and near London.

Less than 60 miles north-east of London, Colchester is a lively, university town. The town has a very long history (it is the oldest recorded town in English history, and was the first Roman town in Great Britain).

For students, there's a great deal to see and do. The town centre offers a variety of shops. There are different kinds of restaurants, with an international range of foods: Spanish, Italian, Arabic, Chinese and Japanese. Colchester also has bars and pubs, and a choice of nightclubs in the town centre. For culture lovers, Colchester has the Mercury Theatre, and Colchester Castle Museum, which has exhibitions of art and culture in addition to its regular exhibitions about Colchester's past.
