Ipswich
School
Ipswich
School is
a very prestigious day and boarding school in Ipswich,
Suffolk, located very near the town centre. It was founded
in 1528 by Cardinal Thomas Wolsey. The main building and
chapel are both historic listed buildings. Behind the school there
are very large sports fields, which ILH students are free to use.
London
is only 2 hours away and Cambridge less than an hour's journey by
bus. Ipswich's population of 150,000 means that
it is just the right size for the foreign student - not too big and
not too small. By living with host families,
students will find out about the British way of life and get a
chance to improve their communication skills.
