Students learn the area specific language and train in the skills necessary for successful business presentations, business communication (via phone, e-mail, letters and other media), negotiation, meetings, financial management, computer systems and applications, and business report writing. ENGLISH for DOCTORS
Students train in the area specific language and terminology of medicine and study medical presentations, doctor-patient language, case conferences and printed media. The course also includes elements of grammar, pronunciation, and social English, and incorporates simulation and role-play scenarios. ENGLISH for LAWYERS
Covering various aspects of commercial, criminal and civil law, students look at the legal terminology involved in legal work (such as drawing up contracts and other agreements), and analyse contemporary legal material. The course includes simulations and role-plays, visits to local practices and courtroom vists. [More]
ENGLISH for GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS
Students look at various aspects of English and international politics and civil service, including how laws are made and relevant aspects of civil and criminal law. The course also includes an element of English for meetings and presentations and for communication generally. Also included are visits to local government offices.
ENGLISH for BANKING
Students learn various aspects of financial English, English for accountancy, and English for dealing with clients within the context of banking. The course includes role-plays and simulations, as well as local visits.
ENGLISH for DIPLOMATS
Students learn English relevant to various aspects of domestic and international diplomacy, including official communication (through written and spoken media), drafting press releases, preparing and making media presentations, negotiating, speech making and general social English. The course includes role-plays and simulations.
