Summer Teacher Training Courses
Our summer teacher training courses offer training in modern teaching methodology, as well as on-going language improvement. Elements covered include:
Communicative Language Teaching, Teaching Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing, Teaching Vocabulary, Material Evaluation, Testing and Correction, CALL, Teaching Specialised English, Course design, CLIL.
The courses are highly practical. CESC has delivered training courses to primary, secondary and tertiary teachers since 1969 on behalf of the Ministries of Education and other educational associations of over 30 countries.
For 20 years, CESC has trained French teachers in summer for the French Ministry of Education, and has organised similar training programmes for teachers from Eastern Europe and Africa. We offer extensive private study facilities for all visiting teachers.
Summer teaching courses for 2012 start on: 16th July and 30th July
We also organise a variety of year-round tailor-made specialised teaching courses, with particular teaching situations in mind. These can be organised on request at different times of year, and can be combined with school and college visits (depending on the time of year). Areas covered in these courses include: CLIL, Teaching Young Learners, I.T. and the Internet in the Classroom, Teaching Literature, Course and Syllabus Design, Materials Design and Evaluation, and Testing.
CESC is an authorised centre for the University of Cambridge ESOL CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults), running three CELTA preparation courses per year. The CELTA is an industry-standard, entry-level qualification for those wishing to pursue a career in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). Find out more about the CELTA here.
