By train it takes less than an hour to reach central London's Liverpool Street Station. Cambridge is also very near. There are beautiful beaches near Colchester: Mersea Island is twenty-five minutes away by bus, and Clacton-on-Sea is about forty minutes away. The countryside around Colchester, made famous by the landscape painter, John Constable, includes the beautiful village of Dedham. Find out more about Colchester here
CESC is in Lexden Road, in the very elegant Lexden area of Colchester, west of the town centre. Conveniently, the school is only about 5 minutes' walk from the centre of town, making it easy for students to reach shops, restaurants, bars, cafes, the theatre and cinema.
