IELTS
IELTS is an examination in academic English skills required by many universities and colleges. It proves that a student has the skills in English needed to study at university level. It may also be accepted as a qualification to allow health sector workers from other countries to work in the UK. There is no pass mark for IELTS. Candidates are graded on a scale of 1 to 9.For a foundation year IELTS 5 – 5.5 is normally needed, for an undergraduate degree IELTS 6 – 6.5 is needed, and for a postgraduate degree IELTS 6 – 7 is needed depending on the subject studied.

IELTS Courses
CESC is an IELTS test centre which regularly runs tests throughout the year. In order to prepare for the exam, you may feel you need a preparation course. We provide two types of IELTS preparation.
Main IELTS courses
These are full time preparation courses at Intermediate (B1)
and Upper Intermediate/Advanced level (B2/C1). They provide 25 hours a week of high quality professional IELTS preparation and test practice in the four skills: Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening.
One to one tuition
We provide highly specialised one to one tuition, particularly appropriate for native or nearly native speakers who need to improve in specific aspects of the exam. The content of the tuition is tailored to the needs of the student.
